The Used Tractor Dealers Association is a not-for-profit organization with a goal of establishing standards for marketing used Japanese compact tractors--sometimes known as "grey market". The initial focus is safety enhancement to make these used tractors a safer, and thus more attractive, option for the consumer. The secondary focus is on marketing, and will involve establishing a wider base of service and parts support, again contributing to these tractors being a better value for the consumer

Who We Are
The Used Tractor Dealers Association is a not-for-profit organization with a goal of establishing standards for marketing used Japanese compact tractors--sometimes known as "grey market". The initial focus will be safety enhancement on these used tractors to make them a safer, and thus more attractive, option for the consumer. There will be a secondary focus on marketing which will involve a wider base of service and parts support, again contributing to these tractors being a better value for the consumer.
The Standards
All Dealers who belong to UTDA have agreed to meet the standards adopted by UTDA. The UTDA standards can be reviewed from the UTDA for Buyers page. UTDA certification of tractors began 9/1/2006. From that point there will be a UTDA certification decal on each unit sold for which UTDA has current standards. It is important for the consumer to understand that the UTDA certification applies solely to the specific standards adopted by UTDA. Any used item should always be examined by the potential buyer to determine that it satisfactorily meets the buyers needs.
The Advantages for the Consumer
Who else can offer you this? Why would you buy a used Japanese compact tractor from anyone but a UTDA member?
